Our Beginning
The Ribbon started with a simple idea: to bring people together through good food and warm hospitality. From day one, we have strived to create a place where locals, families, and friends feel welcome. An elevated dining experience that is approachable - this has been the goal- American Fusion cuisine with techniques steeped in the French tradition of cooking.

The Dakota
Almost directly diagonally opposite The Ribbon, stands the majestic Dakota residences that have been home to some of the most famous New Yorkers and International celebrities since its construction in 1884. The Who’s who list of residents has included Lauren Becall, Leonard Bernstein, Rosie O’ Donnell, Gilda Radner, John Lennon, Roberta Flack, Connie Chung, and Maury Povich among many others.
Our Food and Menu
The menu highlights scratch cooking American classics made with care. Guests can enjoy sushi, fresh seafood, and steakhouse cuts that keep folks coming back. There's something for everyone at The Ribbon whether it be a hearty salad, Filet Mignon or the classic Ribbon Fried Chicken there's something for everyone. The bar features vast assortment of brown spirits, craft cocktails and a reserve wine list that is sure to please.

The Ribbon is more than just a place to eat. Happy Hour from 4 PM to 7 PM is perfect for anyone looking to relax with drinks and small bites. For those who enjoy outdoor dining, the al fresco setup allows guests to eat outside and enjoy the city around them. Since 2015 - The Ribbon was built on the idea of bringing people together. We are the Upper West side's GO TO place for birthdays, weddings and other special events, but we never lost sight of the fact that we are the neighborhood place where your server knows what you like and the happy hour lets you chill with your friends with a great vibe.
